Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how One Burning Lamp (Novachuk & Hill), a wedding photography studio based in Arizona, collects and handles information when you visit oneburninglamp.com or contact us. Our site is an informational and marketing site. We do not offer accounts, online payments, or a newsletter, and we do not run advertising. The only information we actively collect is what you choose to send us through our contact form.

Information we collect

  • What you send us. When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to provide it, and any details about your wedding that you share, such as your parish, date, location, and message.
  • Site analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand general traffic and performance. These tools are cookieless and do not collect personal identifiers or track you across other websites. The data is aggregated and anonymous.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical request data, such as IP address, timestamp, and browser type, for security and reliability. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • We do not collect payment or financial information on this website.
  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not run advertising or use cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your information

We use the details you submit only to respond to your inquiry, discuss photographing your wedding, communicate about availability and booking, and keep a record of our correspondence in case you reach out again. We use anonymous analytics only to improve the site, and server logs only to keep it secure and reliable.

For visitors in the EU or UK, our basis for handling your contact details is your consent and taking steps at your request before a possible booking, and our basis for analytics and security is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the site. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:

  • Resend delivers your contact-form submission to our inbox by email.
  • Vercel hosts the website and provides the cookieless analytics and performance tools described above.
  • ImageKit hosts and delivers the photographs you see on the site.
  • Google. If we display our studio's Google reviews, we fetch them from Google's servers. We do not send Google any information about you.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with the providers listed above, and only to operate the site and reply to you.

Cookies and tracking

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics and performance tools are cookieless and store no personal data on your device, so we do not display a cookie consent banner. We may use only strictly necessary, first-party technical mechanisms needed for the site to function. Our site does not respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no common standard for honoring them.

Data retention

We keep inquiries and related correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you and, if you book us, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for our records. We discard old inquiries periodically. You may ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

Your privacy rights

Because we collect very little, you can email us at any time to ask what inquiry information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and we will honor reasonable requests.

California residents. California law gives residents the right to know what personal information a business collects and how it is used, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We are a small studio that does not sell or share your information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we honor the core rights above. To make a request, email us at the address below.

EU and UK visitors. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us to exercise them.

Children's privacy

Our website is intended for adults, primarily engaged couples and their families, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through our contact form, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we collect, including transmission over HTTPS and the use of reputable email and hosting providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

Our website may link to other sites, such as our social media profiles or our Google reviews. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
